Do you have a SSD drive? If so please check for a firmware update! A vulnerability has been found in the encryption that can allow a hacker to bypass any encryption on the drive and access data. If no recent firmware updates are available (Dated from November 2018 - this vulnerability is new) then please keep checking with your vendors support page.

Effected models know so far:
Crucial - MX100 MX200 MX300

Samsung - T3 T5 840EVO 850EVO

Link for Crucial:

Link for Samsung:

If you have a Samsung SSD then install their " Magician" software and that will also install firmware updates.

If you are unsure how to update or don't feel comfortable doing these updates then please message.

I've not asked for a while so here goes. Would you all be so kind to invite people to "Like" my page, you can do this by visiting the community tab within my page and choosing "invite friends to like this page" even if you just invite one that's better than none and it will really help me out.

I also appreciate it when people tag me in recommendations / post however I need you all to tag the page and not my personal account, my personal account has settings where only friends can message, my page inbox however will allow anyone to message.

So in order to tag my page in a post you would do this. Use the @ symbol, followed by my page name "JW Computer Solutions - Leeds" a search box will appear and you select my page, that's it.

Thanks for reading 🙂

Please check any user accounts that you may have made in the past when purchasing any software including antivirus protection.

Some products, McAfee for one, will automatically renew and take payment from your original payment source. That's fine if that's what you want, but honestly McAfee isn't worth a penny and the fees are stupid.

Same goes with office 365. Do you really need to have the cloud features and the latest version every year? Paying a yearly fee when you can just purchase a one off version which will cost less in the long run (office doesn't really change much between editions.)
There are even some free alternatives to office that do the job just as good.

Same goes with 30 day trials (amazon prime) be sure to cancel before the 30 days otherwise you will have to pay the yearly fee if you forget.

If you are looking for antivirus security that doesn't auto renew and is up to the task then please message.
